Congratulations to FFA teams that competed on Monday!
Farm Business Management placed 4th and qualified for state. Grant placed 2nd, Kyle 14th and MiKenna 21!
The Ag Mechanics team placed 19th with Dayton leading the way with a top 10 finish in 10th! Cole, David and Boone also competed in this very competitive field for the first year. Great job everyone!



Call for art! The MSHSL Visual Arts Exhibition is fast approaching. Any 7-12 student may enter a piece(s) into this show. Please contact Stena Lieb before April 10th if you are interested, only 18 pieces selected. Art to the school by 4-18. The show is April 26th.

The school play is next week at the Lanesboro Community Center! This action comedy is full of strange characters, sword fights, and puppetry. Come and see us at 6:30 March 21st or 22nd, or 2pm on March 23rd. Tickets at the door. $5 for adults, $3 for students.

The Lanesboro School Board will have a Board Retreat at 5:00pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 in the Forum. The purpose of the retreat is professional development for Board members including items such as understanding Minnesota school finance, processes for Minnesota school purchasing, and other informational items.

Lanesboro Schools will be closed tomorrow, March 5, 2025.

We had a great visit yesterday at Western Technical out of LaCrosse. We also met with the Trap coach to learn about their program. Fun Day!!



This afternoon nearly 50 Lanesboro athletes voluntarily took part in a speed clinic put on by former L/FC track athlete Brady Dutton! Brady gave a presentation and then spent over an hour teaching the mechanics of speed. Thanks to the Lanesboro Booster Club for sponsoring!


National FFA Week was recently celebrated! Highlights included the elementary coloring contest (picture drawn by officer William Miller), staff breakfast and always popular Ag Olympics!









Students had the opportunity to go to the 39th annual Theater and Dance Workshop at Minnesota State University in Mankato today. 7 fabulous students attended and will be participating in improv, costume design for superheros, stage management, newspaper dresses, lighting and more!


Books for breakfast sure was one for the books. Thank you to all the parents and guardians for your support and joining us this morning. The kids enjoyed spending quality time reading with you.






The boys basketball teams travels to Houston tonight to take on the Hurricanes in the opening round of the section tournament. Tip-off is at 7:00pm. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for students. The game will also stream live at fan.hudl.com. Good luck boys!

We celebrated our wrestlers today with a pepfest and sent Charlotte, Cole, and Kane off to state - good luck!

On Friday night the 2nd grade boys took to the court at halftimes of the JV and varsity games vs. Mabel-Canton. They also participated in pregame player introductions. Great job boys!
