The Intro to Trades class made a visit Vis plumbing this morning!
The students rotated through three hands on stations:
1. Building a decorative rain gauge while practicing soldering.
2. Learning cold expansion PEX, standard PEX & press copper fittings.
3. Reviewing furnace operation basics & the importance of maintenance.
They were excited to see the next generation getting exposure to the skilled trades!!

Our Visual Arts Classic Team hit the road today for a stop at the Minneapolis Institute of Art before heading to Duluth for competition tomorrow!


National FFA Week was celebrated last week highlighted by the Ag Olympics, staff breakfast and coloring contest. Lanesboro FFA is celebrating 75 years in 2026, and will host the annual awards banquet Monday, March 16!








Mark your calendars for LHS Prom on May 2nd. Grand March will start at 5pm and the doors to school will open at 4:15. Tickets will go on sale next month. More information on times and prices coming soon.

A snowstorm couldn’t keep these excited girls from attending Lanesboro schools 2nd annual father daughter dance. Fun was had and memories were made as they danced, crafted and snacked the afternoon away! Thank you to the following very generous local businesses who generously donated their specialties make this event special: Allison Ingram-DJ Sips and Sugar(Annika Quanrud) - Baked Goods Hillside Homestead (Stephanie Strah)-Baked Goods Preston Floral-carnations Also a shout out to the many behind the scene helpers who made this event possible including: Senior class volunteers: (Aster, Camden, Ellie C, Ellie H, Levi, Mason, Olivia and Sari). As well as volunteers Sue Moen, Desiree Ferrie, Melissa Gilbertson and Olivia Holtegaard.








Another successful and Books for Breakfast event was held on Friday. This event culminated all of the fun I love to read month activities. Parents and students enjoyed donuts and pastries as they read books together. Prizes were awarded to the winners of the bookmark and guess your teacher’s favorite book contests. Thank you to the parents and family members who were able to attend for making this reading event a fun and meaningful experience. Thank you to our Lanesboro Schools teachers and staff for making this event possible for our students.

Congratulations to the boys basketball team on their first round victory over RMSA Thursday night! They now advance to the Mayo Civic Center Auditorium to play Wabasha-Kellogg on Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00 pm. Tickets will go on sale Saturday afternoon at the link below and are $12.50 for adults and $6.50 for students.

On Tuesday night before the quarterfinal basketball game at the Mayo Civic Auditorium Jensyn Storhoff was presented the Region 1A "AAA" award by Region Secretary Brad Johnson. She has now advanced into a small group of Minnesota seniors eligible to win the state award at the end of March! Congratulations again Jensyn, and good luck!

The boys basketball team defeated RMSA last night in the opening round of the section tournament! They now move on to the quarterfinal round at the Mayo Civic Center vs. Wabasha-Kellogg Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00pm. The ticket link will be available soon. Congratulations and good luck!
