Good luck to our golfers who are competing in the section meet today and tomorrow at Eastwood GC in Rochester and our track athletes who are competing at sections in Triton today and Thursday. Go Burros!

There has been some confusion over what absences have been exempt in the past from the semester test policy. In order to clear up what may have been previously stated in the newspaper, the following absences have been considered exempt:

1) Juniors or Seniors on an arranged and approved college visit
2) Any school related activity (participation)
3) Mental health needs may be exempt following a parent-administrator conference

The Board approved a new version of the student/parent handbook at the May Board Meeting. You will be able to find the handbook on the High School webpage after our July update.

A reminder that May 29th, the last day of classes, is a HALF-DAY of school for all students.

Lanesboro High School's Graduation Ceremony will be held on May 31st at 1:30pm in the Main Gym. Congratulations to all of our Seniors!

A Monster Party! The 3rd graders drew monsters a couple months ago and the HS ceramic class was tasked with recreating the monsters from clay. Today the students had the chance to take their monsters home and meet the artists.

Congratulations to the boys and girls golf teams on winning the Southeast Conference tournament! Special shout out to two of our Burro golfers taking home the individual 1st place honors. Jack Brogle shot a 76 and Addison McCabe shot a 78. Great job Burros!

Semester test dates for students in grades 7-12 are May 27th and 28th.

Congrats to the 2026 6th grade DARE graduates! A special congratulations to Karli Manley for winning the DARE essay contest and getting $50 to Scheels!

A reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on May 25th.

10-12th grade students were able to try the distracted driving simulators and other activities while wearing goggles that represented the effects of high alcohol and drug consumption as well as the outcomes of vaping. There were students and staff hitting cones in their go-cart, basketball and bean bags missing their targets, and other fun activities to try. These activities are sponsored by the SE MN Towards Zero Death Program. Thanks to all who made this happen for our Lanesboro School Students.
