Grade 2/3 has had a busy October! We were invited to visit the Big Springs Pumpkin Patch and took a walking field trip throughout Lanesboro as part of our community unit. We also worked hard on our small moment/ narrative unit and became "published" authors alongside our 6th grade reading buddies. Bring on November!

Our Friday Throwback takes us all the way back to 1976. Yes, the cover was disco-ball silver that year. Included this week are photos from Future Farmers of America, Volleyball, and the Marching Band.

Greeting Burros Fans!

There is a new policy at the MSHSL section level that all games, even those hosted at local sites, are cashless only for ticketing. This will apply to our volleyball tournament game at Alden-Conger on Monday, Oct. 26th, as well as the tournament football game we host on Tuesday, Oct. 27th vs. Wabasha-Kellogg.

Tickets can be purchased in advance (which is strongly recommended) at this link: https://www.gobound.com/mn/schools/lanesboro/tickets - you will need to present the barcode on your phone at the gate. Tickets can also be purchased with a credit card at the gate.

Tickets to the games are $10 for adults and $5 for students (plus a small processing fee per ticket).

Just to reiterate, no cash will be accepted as admission into section games. Also, no local passes of any kind (family passes, individual passes, senior passes) etc. will be accepted.

Thank you and Go Burros!

2017 Lanesboro graduate and veterinarian Dr. Alyssa (Gathje) McGowan visited our College in the Schools Animal Science class to share her experiences and insights into the veterinary profession. Dr. McGowan provided an excellent presentation on a day in the life of a large animal veterinarian, highlighting both the rewards and responsibilities of the profession. She also shared valuable advice on the high school and college preparation needed to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Mrs. Ruen dug up a photo of FFA member Alyssa working at the Miracle of Birth Center at the Minnesota State Fair in 2015, an experience that helped her gain valuable hands-on experience. We appreciate Dr. McGowan taking the time to share her knowledge, experiences, and career advice with our students!
