LanesboroFFA members decorated the town for fall with about 600 corn stalks -- fulfilling the "Living to Serve" line of the FFA motto. A fun afternoon!










Natural resources students toured the Lanesboro Dam and Utility Plant that utilizes the hydroelectric power from the river. Thanks Jeff for a great tour!


Earlier this week FFA members attended the Fillmore County Corn Growers Plot Day. They enjoyed learning more about the corn varieties and were treated to a great meal. Thanks for the invitation!

This afternoon Emi Jacobson, former Minnesota high school state champion runner and now a nutritionist, spoke to our cross country athletes on how to eat better to fuel their bodies. Some great and timely information, thanks Emi!

It's a beautiful night for soccer tonight at Burro night in St. Charles vs. Cotter. The band sounded great during pregame! This Thursday, Sep. 11th the Saint Charles/Lewiston-Altura/Lanesboro boys soccer team hosts Cotter at St. Charles High School. With no other sporting events taking place that night, we'd like to encourage as many fans as possible to go support Lanesboro senior Camden Twait and the rest of the team. The Lanesboro pep band will be traveling to the game and playing also. Good luck boys!

The girls cross country team took first place Thursday night in LaCrescent - congratulations and keep it up ladies!

Two Lanesboro FFA members had a great run at the Minnesota State Fair FFA Livestock Show!
Quincy showed one goat, placing 4, and two lambs placing 8 and 7th. His highlight was placing Reserve Champion in the Carcass Lamb Scanned class!
Cora showed two beef heifers and had the following results: Champion Commercial heifer, Champion Senior Yearling Angus heifer and Reserve Champion in Showmanship!
Outstanding representation of Lanesboro FFA! Congrats!



LFCMC cross country got their season rolling last night in Stewartville on a beautiful afternoon at Bear Cave Park. Congratulations to Autumn Rakosnik who won the girls race with a sub-20 minute time besting the rest of the field by over a minute!! Good luck the rest of the season to our CC athletes and coaches!

Our first day of school for 7th to 12th grade students is September 2nd.
K-6th grade students/parents will have individual conferences on September 2nd and 3rd, with the first regular day of school on September 4th.
