• Preschool Room (Ages 33 months to School Age)

This age is a busy time for crafts and learning skills.  Our morning starts with breakfast, then we have daily circle time that includes calendar time, stories, fingerplays and songs.  We then split up and have the children play in “centers”. The preschool room is set up with a large variety of play centers including art, blocks, dramatic play, music, science, dress-up, cozy corner, and manipulative toys such as Legos, pirates, dinosaurs, farm animals, Loving Family houses, trains and race tracks to name a few.  We also do plenty of arts and crafts activities that revolve around our theme of the week.  Curriculum is created to incorporate the seasons and holidays and current events.

We have easy access to the outdoors in our play yard right outside our door, and are on the same block as Sylvan Park and the Lanesboro Public Library.  We take walks on the trail and visit the dam.  Field trips we have taken include trips to the dentist, the Pastry Shoppe, a ride on Molly the Trolley, the Fish Hatchery, Avian Acres, the Fillmore County Jail in Preston, the Lanesboro Sales Barn, just to name a few.
